Quran Rifqah ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Volution Technology, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services ("the Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account Information:

• Name and email address (when you use Sign in with Apple; you may choose to hide your email)
• Apple ID identifier, or an anonymous identifier if you continue as a guest
• Display name and gender you set in your profile

Social & User-Generated Content:

• Friend (accountability partner) connections and requests
• Messages and nudges you send to friends
• Reports you submit and users you block

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Reading Activity:

• Surahs and verses read, reading sessions, and bookmarks
• Daily reading streaks, time spent reading, and daily goals
• Reading-preference settings (script, translations, tafsir, reciter, font sizes)

Device & Usage Data:

• A push notification (device) token, used to deliver notifications
• Approximate last-active time
• Diagnostic and usage analytics (via Firebase / Google Analytics for app)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and personalize the reading experience and save your progress
• Sync your data securely across your devices
• Enable accountability features: friends, leaderboards, messages, and reminders
• Send push notifications (e.g., friend requests, messages, daily reminders)
• Maintain a safe community by reviewing reports and enforcing our guidelines
• Improve the app through aggregated analytics

3. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. Limited information is shared in these cases:

• Other users: Your display name, reading stats (streak, weekly time, surahs), current reading, and activity are visible to other signed-in users for discovery and leaderboards. Messages are visible only to the friend you send them to.
• Service providers: Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud messaging, analytics) processes data on our behalf.
• Content providers: When fetching Quranic text, translations, tafsir, and audio (e.g., Quran.com), no personal information is sent.
• Legal: Where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account), which removes your profile, reading history, sessions, friend connections, and device token. You may also email us to request deletion.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and Firebase security rules, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Quran Rifqah is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can edit your profile and delete your account in-app, or contact us to exercise these rights.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country (including via Google Firebase). By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date above, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the changes.
